Emmanuel Ungaro is a French fashion designer who established his fashion company in Paris in 1965. In 1955 at the age of 22, he moved to Paris to work under Cristobal Balenciaga and eventually worked with the house Courrèges.
This brands fashions are famous for using vibrant patterns and colors with elegant and skillful draping. The original womens line was successful and led to the release of a mens line in 1973. The fragrance portion of the company was introduced in 1983 with the release of Diva. Ungaro retired in 2005. The company is still running under Asim Abdullah, and Giles Deacon is the current creative director.
